Following the recent attendance by Crest Lifts to Castle Avenue to repair a Zurich Inspection item associated with the lift levelling, I would like to express how impressed I was with the Engineers that attended. I am fully aware that the Engineers faced many challenges in completing this task, however they did not leave site until the lift was 100% level at each floor, a point that has tried to be achieved by other people in the past, but never obtained. As the lift was out of use for 4 days, the Engineers also provided me with regular updates on the repairs progress which in turn allowed me to update the building users on when the lift was likely to be available again, which I know was much appreciated by Hampshire County Council.

I’m really impressed with your engineers this morning, when fitting the cables for the auto diallers they found an area with some old asbestos stickers which they would need to work around. They came to me immediately and asked to have a detailed look at the asbestos files. On inspection of the new and old asbestos survey we have highlighted where the auditor has missed some asbestos and not detailed it in the new report. It is quality of engineers like this that avoids accidents and risks to health. Thank you!

Crest Lifts have and use a dynamic team of engineers on our Estate, who interact with the whole Estates team and building users. The company directors and managers are very approachable and provide an excellent back up service to the engineers, if required which is mainly due to our archaic lift stock. That said having an archaic lift stock requires what I can only term “Love and Care” where maintenance is concerned, as it is that that keeps them running, and the engineers most certainly do that.
